Good machine - I've had mine for 9 years now and never had a problem - apart from it used to blow a lot of internal fuses - which was a real pain but that seems to be fixed now.

Good sound robust and reliable with a great jog shuttle wheel for cueing - not sure If I'd want to buy a second hand machine considering how old it is.

A lot of pro studios still use them so they must be ok I guess. The 3800 by contrast was not nearly so reliable.

Bad Points
No input monitor without being in record pause - which is bad for head wear
