Jeff Sepeta writes:
Virtual Rhodes & Wurlitzer electric piano models. It's a model, not a sample player, so it behaves with incredible dynamics. I never liked playing a real Rhodes because the ones I had tried had a real mushy feel; but playing through my weighted controller, it feels and sounds great.

EVP88 includes a great effects section for customizing your sound. You have control over how the tines resonate, and you can go from Small Faces "Stay With Me" to Styx "Babe" by flipping between settings.

EVP88 only works within the Logic environment. It's baby brother EVP73 is a VST and works within Cubase and other VST apps. Since Logic was discontinued for the pc, you're more likely to hear the EVP88 used on a Mac. The EVP73 has less models available.

Good Points
killer sound, very flexible. endorsed by Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, amongst others
Bad Points
limited plugin formats
