In a word, YUMMY. This little synth is amazing and has so much character. It may only be 4 voice but those 4 voices go a very long way. It can sound super-fat and icy cold. The inclusion of some digital waveforms makes for some very cool sound creation. The effects are really simple and sound fantastic, the audio in's allow you to process your other synths, drum machines or whatever with the MS2000's effects, filters and LFO's. It has THE BEST VOCODER I have heard on any new synth and its easy to use and too much fun. It also has a MOD SEQUENCER that just "ROCKS" So simple and so effective! Within seconds of removing it from the box I was making my own patches and more inspired than I have been in a long time. For me this synth is almost perfect, my only gripe is that I wish it had more voices but I know I will find ways around it. I have tried a lot of Virtual Analog's and apart from the Access virus the Korg MS2000 is my favourite. Simplicity is very important to me in making music. I want the easiest path from idea to creation and the MS gives you that . I shoud also mention that when I say its simple to use I dont mean its not capable of creating complex sounds. It does that effortlessly thanks to the Virtual Patch section. All in all I am so happy that I bought this synth. It's the one I have been searching for, my techno dream machine.....and so much more. Check it out! Comments About the Sounds: The MS2000 has a very analog sound. More convincing than a lot of the other VA's available. |
