It is my first sampler, but I tryed all the other samplers like akai, kurzweil, e-mu... I must say it is most advanced sampler I ever tryed and heard and It is allso very usefull for one man band. If you know the synth well you can set your 4 triggers well and beat the hell out of any one man band synth ever made even Yamaha Tyros, that is if you know how to play live.

This was released too early and its reputation suffered as a result. By now (June 2006) it still has its quirks and limitations but has reach3ed the point of being too good to ignore. Still a mediocre worstation, it is now a great synth. The FM engine alone is worth the new lower price, the VA sounds better than the micron (which sounds great), and the sampler, though pretty basic, sounds good as well. I can work around its lack of external midi controllability and other quirks because it sounds so good. Nice one Alesis...I hope you continue to improve it for a while yet! And mabye you could make the hard disk recorder operable w/o the sequencer...

The fusion is the bomb. This is a brilliant synth with lots of extra bell & whistles. Forget about the free multitrack audio recorder built in. If you want the perfect multitrack audio recorder just go out and buy one instead of relying on a keyboard for that.

It`s still buggy at all, the Kobs are open by zero. The Inputs have no inserts, no easy resampling. The Sound is good, but as a workstation it is shit

I recently purchased the fusion 8hd and I am very pleased with it. This board can produce sounds that I never heard before. Every time I turn it on magic happens . I can't say that about my Triton, Fantom X6 or my Motif. It is my main instrument now. I love it!
