i think its already been said elsewwhere but hell il say it again this is simply one of the most openended synths you can buy a synth that you will never grow tired of and for the price its insane if i could rate this on a scale of 100 it would easily get full marks/keep up the good work clavia

The first time i opened the box i had just picked up at the local postoffice i wondered "Wheres the rest of it?". It had almost no weight (0.8kg). Now, about a year later, i dont care for size at all. It is capable of producing the fatest, most shimmering brutal sound possible ever! Only limits are your imagination. On the plusside there is the perfect interface with computer softwhare and hardwhare working together. Also the flexibility of the sizer. On the minusside there is perhaps the fact that there are fewer knobs on the micro compared to the keyboard version and that the micro has only a quarter of the keys DSP-power. But who cares at the Micros pricelevel.

This thing rox...It is a simply amazing synth. You can get so many kinds sound out of it. Those who said it sounds thin...well, you really don't know anything about synthesis, do you? I admit that reasonance is a bit dry and the low end is also kinda weak. However, if you program it carefully you can get fairly good quality sound. I heard a couple of sample of reaktor and VAZ. I think both of them are great, but those things are just programs and not the hardware synths. I mean, you can even use micro modular as a serious effect processor and a vocoder. Have you ever try to use it as a mastering system? (3 band compressor) God, do I need to say more? It's literally versatile synth. Moreover, it's very good to learn the analogue synthesis. This micro modular is my first real synthesizer and I learned a lot of skill of analogue synthesis. It gives you pictures of signal routings in your head.
