If there ever is a nuclear war, hide behind a T1. This thing is a beast with no children! Too heavy and awkward to pick up by yourself. But you know what? That's what makes this board stand out from all of the crap they are releasing now. It's built like a tank and you can see the quality in the workmanship. The weighted keys actually feel the most like a piano on any board I've played. The current Korg N1 is a joke. Mostly plastic and it's weighted keys feel almost unweighted and like a damn toy. They also shift from side to side. Like I said....crap. I've always wanted this board since early 1990 when I saw Billy Joel in concert playing a T1. The 6000.00 price tag scared me away until now when I picked up a pristine used T1 for a steal.

Never liked the keyboard feel. Never liked any of the ac. pianos, even the one on disk. Have had a T3 for years but find the most usable sounds to be things like brass, woodwinds, strings, and pads. Don't need an 88 note keyboard for that. I guess it would be fine to control other piano modules, but what's the point now? There are too many good digital pianos and 88 note controllers that weigh about 50 lbs. This thing weighs a ton! Don't bother with the T1 unless you really like the sounds. I do like many of the T sounds, but prefer the lighter T3 package.
