I used to have a virus indigo, and I thought that was nice. This replaced that and my m audio ozone. This has all the sounds I need, and the best part is, it's like accessing functions a la' microkorg style. I love this board. get it!

this equipment is great! i prefer this to my korg ms 2000B.

although the controls are a little compacted, and its not as well laid-out as some other synths,

its rather in depth and nice to use.

the programs sound a lot better than korgs, and the control seems to give you a little more satisfaction when playing.

with saving your own programs martin rychter, edit them, then save using the "template save" button, near the template edit button, above the LCD screen, to the top left.

Really like this piece of gear. Nothing much to say about it other than its good for practically everything. THe only thing it doesn't have is a vocoder. (well, on that not, the effects are kind of lame, but otherwise this synth still deserves a 5)

Answer to Martin Rychter & Dimitrios

Just overwrite the patches you don't like. They are all user rewritable. You can use the application MIDI-OX to archive all your patches on your puter. The link to it from the novation website.

Very powerfull synth and controller, the converters are good for the price. I like the novation sound, osc and filters are very fat and the arp is fun to play with. Having many templates for soft synth is good but sometimes is better to program your own. The only minus points are the external saving of sounds, no sound editor, no external sync of synths parametars and arp ony works in synth mode. I got mine for $1300 AU and it is exelent value for money, if Novation fixes some of the missing features in the next update this could be one of the most exiting products in 2004/05.

I was thinking of buing this synthenziser but one thing bothers me: the 200 factory presets on the synth - is that all you can play with? Can't I export them to my computer or maybe replace them with others I have on my computer through the USB-cable? can't I play with other sounds?

Appreciate for help with this matter!
