I use it for more than just the basslines, it can make nice sharp saw leads in style like "better off alone" lead.. the TB emulation is very useful with a guitar dist. On with the 24dB and it screams!! =)

definately PASS on the keyboard version. Its way way too limited and the thing feels funky. Go for the rack version and you get more memory settings and the audio input which is crucial if you want to process incoming audio. The rack has so much more going for it, why even bother with the keyboard, unless you need another cheapo 2 octave plastic thing laying around your studio?....actually, you might as well spend a few bucks more and get the SUPER BassStation which only comes in the rack version. Novation learned their lesson on the first BassStation cuz everyone bought the rack version. I repeat: PASS on the Keyboard----Buy the RACK VERSION !! Only the rack version gets a 5!! They keyboard? 3

A fine wee noisemaker. Cool basslines & leads. Many many sounds very easily available through simple tweaking. Nice midi control over lots of parameters too, which is good news. For most of my stuff, the sounds as they come out are slightly too 'clean', but i've got it permanently wired through an amp simulator, which grunges it up beautifully; it'll slice prominently through just about any mix.

I've only had it for about 2 days. It is ridiculously easy to get useable, unique mono bass and lead sounds out of this thing. If anyone's using it to get 303 sounds--get a grip. This thing is capable of so much more. Anyway, the 303 has turned gay. Stop using those sick sounds. Stop taking drugs and spend some time in a prayer closet. Whoops, back to the BassStation...I don't think it can be beat for less than $300.
