I own a Quadrasynth for long time.I also own a variety of synths ,featuring both new and vintage stuff. Quadrasynth is , in a wor,d heaven!! Its THE synth that I will not ever sell.Excellent, repeat this one EXCELLENT sounds ,creaming more expensive models ,great polyphony ,very easy to program to name a few. Mix mode is a killer for live performances. But ,the biggest advantage is its amazing quality of sound, with 2 pair of outs.... I wont bother comment about the effects unit.... Quadrasynth its the ideal synth to get you started.Sounds are easy to program and a big library is available. And,because the current line of Alesis is using the same synthesis structure ,you're ready to program these too !!!

I bought my Quadra a year ago, and now I think it's ready to leave me. It is great for building really big movielike sounds, but for more tweaking it's too weak. It has great orchesteral instruments except the piano and some of the brass perhaps. Really nice strings I think. The lack of a resonancefilter is the mainreason I didn't find it fulfilling my needs. After my brother found out it had drums and started to drum on lower C that key wasn't at my service any more. I've heard Alesis have some problems with the quality of their keyboards.

I have owned QS for year now. I just wanted masterkeyboard and it does its job quite well (76 keys, aftertouch, etc). I downloaded some patches for it and it started to kick again. You can make suprisingly BIG basses and drums (D4 based). Quadraverb has nice effects, not good variety but good reverb, delay, chorus ; leslie is a bit noisy. When I bought QS I had korg 01/wfd too but I sold it because QS made all sounds than 01/w. Korg sounded shit in "multi" mode but combi sounds were great. In QS one patch can have max 4 voices, in 01/w 2 voices. QS has better acpiano, epiano, organs, drums, brasses (try "Moodypiano" great!) etc. only pads and strings are bit weak....and QS is A LOT cheaper than 01/wfd and it has 76 keys! QS is nice for the price and good controller for budgetdudes like me.

I used the quad in the studio daily for months, and it never let down once! It coverts NICELY on the road as well. It's probly one of the best sythns all around for every application. The sounds are easy to find on stage, (especially when there is no light). The quad cards are well worth the money and the MIDI
is so user friendly once you know the ropes. I bought an SKB case to protect my baby and now I'm unstopable rain or shine, ( I even let roadies carry my quad and never loose a nights sleep!! ) PS: buy the older quadrasyth and get the upgrade because the new QS series dosent have the killer LCD DISPLAY, then
your ready for anything, studio or the road.
