The coolest drum synth i have ever owned, this baby has got a boogie button what more do i need to say here :), bought mine for a mere $ 250 , but i knew before what sound it makes i would have payd easily the double of this amount. I make trance, acid, goa , hiphop and virtually any kind of music on this machine, If you can get your hands on the progammer for this synth don't hesitate and buy it

i just found one in a pawn shop in very good condition for only $200 bones. after playing with it for a while all i can say is i'll be headed back to that pawn shop with old gear to try and trade for it. it is a bit like a wimpy 808 but, it has got a great sound.

bruce percy a part time user from Scotland writes:
I love my CR-78. The only thing is that you can't use it all of the time because

the sound is sooo distinctive. If you want an idea of what it sounds like,

listen to the beginning of Danceaway from Roxy, or Breaking Glass by Blondie.

It's a mimi pops sound with some class. Basically, it sounds like a minature

(and very lightweight) 808. The CR-68 is a smaller brother which is just as good. The CR-78 has the added

ability to cancel some of the sounds (say snare drum) for example). You can also sync this box to midi via any kenton box, since the clock input

on the back of the drum machine will accept the "ARP clock" on the back of the

kenton units. And you get a fab wood finish with this machine also! What more could you want.
