It receives MIDI note numbers 36 to 91; pitchbend; modulation; after-touch; vcf; vca; “sustain” (damper); arpeggio clock.

Any of these sources can control more than one destination at once but a destination can only be controlled by one source - our software takes care of that for you to avoid worrying the synth too much! MIDI IN on any channel - selectable and stored. Incoming MIDI can be transposed by up to plus or minus 2 octaves.

BTW the Jup4 is an awesome instrument, as you probably already know. Seen its casing it should survive a nuclear apocalypse also. But the 'Compuphonic' label says it all... wicked beast... sometimes truly out of control... and be nice to your neighbours : DON'T MAKE BASSES WITH IT except if u wanna peel paint off their walls, or maybe to show your kids what's an earthquake, but nothing more !!

I just picked up a Jupiter 4 in excellent condition today and I love it. I'd been wanting one for some time now. I like it a lot more than the 6, 8 and MKS-80. To me it just sounds better, although it certainly isn't as flexible as the others. The first Yazoo album is mostly Pro-One and Jupiter 4. All in all, a brilliant machine and heavy as hell.

the jupiter 4,an overlooked analog classic in my opinion...i must commiserate with all the problems with tuning, rogue osc's, etc...but it still rocks, funks, and has a personality all its own...but be warned that parts are impossible to get even from roland in los angeles....my jp4 has one oscillator that doesnt play, making it a 3 osc box and virtually worthless as a poly kybd...roland hit me for $122 to tell me they don't have replacement osc cards...ouch....but if you want god in a box and an endless syncopated acid funk groove just hook up your 808 606 cr8000 or in my case cr78 into the trigger input and kick the random mode on the arpeggiator and start working the filters & env's...nothing comes close...KUDOS TO EARLY ROLAND..........its still the box, regards, nick
