Just a fantastic, professional analogue. The list of features is huge. Crisp to warm sounds flow like wine. lovely cross-mod and a super-filter to die for. Built like a steam ship and very heavy. Good hardware and the best reliability of any analogue I can think of. Some power supply problems when people attempt stupid midi mods. BEST LEAVE THAT TO PROFESSIONALS!! This is just about the best analogue ever and that includes the Jupiter 8. The 6 runs quite cool and keeps in tune. The power supply was built to manage the existing midi spec so no blinking l.e.ds. Makes a change, eh? A massive, classy piece of machinery. Owners luv em'. Makes them difficult to buy. You feel safe as an owner. It won't go wrong, won't need tuning and will not lose loadsa money.

Clear the jealous bullshit outa' way..and this is the best analgue bar none. The filter is fine as is the super cross mod. A midi super synth with mighty sliders. Sort of getting hard to buy. I try to buy a second but they are all sold. Ebay deals have died at the last moment and dont trust 'buy mine its the best' crooks.

This synth is incredible. sounds like no other. the jupi got its distinct character, sometimes harsh sometimes smooth, cold and warm sounding bass is a little weak but you also can add a second synth to it which is specified for bass. mine has the europa upgrade (installed by synth master himself from virtual music austria the link can be found on this board) i think it´s definately worthowning this synth, every cent. better than most of the virtual stuff, really! good for industrial or science fiction or rock music it also fits to any style. it´s no moog or oberheim but a fantastic affordable roland. the filter is so incredible when modulated that i cannot stop twiddling around with it. it has no effects so it sounds dry but if you are connecting an analog delay to it you will never give it away again.

I think the Jup6 is better than the Prophet. It works and has heaps of features the 5 hasn't got. The sound is very similar. The Jup is a great buy and has everything you could ever need on an analogue...no 20 event step sequencers mercifully!

Just magic. One of the best synths ever. Capable of any sound, warm, rich, thin, bassy and screaming. A lot of control so you can get lost if you are a beginner. Its got a very good spec. Owners are very fond of them and often sell them on to get the Jupiter8. Often, they see this to be a mistake. The 6 is every bit as good as the 8. The Jupiter6 looks like a real synth. Big, substantive and imposing. It lights up nicely so it looks great in the dark. If you can find one buy it up quickly, they go real fast.
