I got my Juno now for two weeks. I love it. The knobs, the buttons, the wood and (the most important thing) the sound. I use the Juno in Cubase 5.1 on a audio channel. A tip. Mix this machine with some plugin's (reverb's, flanger's, stereo, delay fx etc. etc.) and you can get amazing results. The "string sounds" are the sounds i,ve love most.

I believe the Van halen sound came from the OBXa synthesizer. I know by seeing the Jump song on video. Its this synth or the OB8? I know it was an Oberheim though

Sorry if this is off topic.

To get on topic I have messed around with the 60. Its a good sounding synth. It has a nice round filter and good sounding osc's. Its got that cool chorus sound and the envelops are liquidy and smooth to my ears.

I give it a 3 for sound quality but for features is why it gets a 3. Its not very rich in features though. Its a simple but yet very good sounding keyboard.

I just got my Juno 60. It had some keys not working so I pulled it apart and gave them a wiggle, sprayed the contacts and everything is good to go. I plugged it in and I would have to say that this jewel is PHAAAAT!!! However, external effects help a lot with the overall experience. I added a little symphony type of effect with some delay and this thing sounds awesome. I now have that Van Halen sound closer than ever. My OBXA will be here next week and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Yes, this one is cool. I fiddled around with lots of va' s, doepfners , Roland MC quick cheap stuff and Juno 106 things. I'm an old scool Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream fan that was overwhelmed by Brian Eno and love Massive Attack to Faithless. Hey, this Juno 60 is great, all that analog sequencing sound so good. Yes, if you don't care it can sound cheesy. ..but there are some knobs ond da board! Shure, there are some limitations , but who cares as long you can get real big sounds out of that beast. Don't care about the lack of Midi , there are solutions! I bought this neat thing for about 300 Dollars. Worth the price! I just love the Filters.
