Damnit! It's still the best synth I have. There is something about it's osund that is so emotive. If you want very fat pads out this synth I suggest you learn to properly detune the oscillators. This keyboard alone has inspired all of my musical endeavours. I think I must search for more synths along this line...

I bought this yesterday for 200'000 Lire.Somenthing like 120$!!! So I'm discovering it and I find very useful for techno lead line, bass, string, pad and brass...pratically everything! It's simple to program, but now I'm looking for pg800 to modify sounds in real time for techno tracks.

I love this synth! I was my first synth, and it´s the best! I make hard synth-music, a bit like the swedish band Covenant, and with the jx8p you can really make the phattest pads and the most rocking basses. I don´t have the PG-800 but it´s kicking anyway. The only thing I´m missing on the synth are effects like delay and reverb. So if you have the chance, buy it !

This is truly underrated synth ! I wonder why people keep on freaking out on Junos when there's a cooler, fatter and less expensive synth around: the wonderful JX-8P! I have noyhting against the Juno-106, it has great filters and all, but I think it's a little overrated. The JX has a unique sound that sort of sounds like my MKS-80. Make sure you get the PG-800 programmer though, programming will be so much faster. I got mine in near mint condition with the programmer for only 400$ ! Try finding a Juno for that price ! NO WAY !! If you're looking for mean basses, warm strings and fucked up sounds, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ! Get yourself one! You won't be disappointed.
