A really good Roland. From Fat to Bright. Good construction Quality and even programmable without the optional PG-800 (easier than e.g. the Alpha Juno) Of course even better with the Programmer. The only "bad" thing is that it always only dumps one Single Patch via Sys-Ex (no Dump-All Feature) But who really cares ;) Get one if you love the classic Roland Sound.

I've had my JX8P since 1986. It still is one of my favorite boards. It has the best high string sounds. It is the only board that I program regularly because of my PG-800. A few years ago, I lent my JX8P to another musician. It came back in great shape without my RAM cartridge. I've been searching ever since. Help Please!

I just bought my JX a few weeks ago - its a great deal for the price ... I love the sync sounds. Good Basses and great leads, and its very nice to have a polyphonic, midi, velocity+aftertouch, preset+programmable, analog hybrid around. Unfortunately my edit slider is gone to all hell- it will only select the highest and lowest of the values in any parameter ( the portamento slider is kinda unpredictable too ) and I was wondering if anybody had any idea if I could find slider replacements anywhere..Email me if you do - thanks! All in all great sounding set of keys.

This synth makes the best video game audio patches. If you want to make great electronic music then this is the one. It is so easy to create sounds that a 4 year old could do it. I love it. I rate it 6 out of 5. : )
