way over-rated! beware buyers! the R-70 does NOT deserve a 4.7. that is bogus! this machine is not that great. I owned for 2 years and sold it. dont miss it at all.

Ahem!
You cannot upload samples into this machine, It is only a sample based playback drum machine, the midi input is for chaining it with your other gear like a midi sequencer to control start/stop information etc. Or you can play the unit from your keyboard, as the drum sounds will be mapped to different keys o your keyboard.

Great all-round drum machine. Better than the R8, R8mkII machines by far!! Nice collection of 808 & 909 sounds. The editing is a breeze. Has room for a memory card. This box is way under-rated. Hard to find, but very well worth it.

Don't go anyware near this thing if you want to write dance music. It's alright for some things, but it wouldn't be the first thing i'd buy if I had my time again.

The R70 is a great drummachine. The percussionsounds are terriffic and it is easy to use and to edit. So why give more money?
