The 707 is something I use mostly to sync up my
202 so I can sequence the 202 without the use of
a CV to Midi converter. As a few people have
mentioned, yes the Kik and Snares do suck a bit,
however I have heard people do good things with a
simple instrument like the 707... and anyhow,
when it really comes down to it in most cases it's
what you do with your instrument and not
entirely what your instrument does for you.

I dig the sounds and outputs on this box. However as a guitar player I really don't use it much anymore. Anyone out there looking to pick up a nice 707?

I LIKE THIS DRUM MACHINE BECAUSE IT IS EASY AS HELL TO USE
YOU CAN ONLY STORE 4 TRACKS ON IT
I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU WOULD FIND A CARTRIDGE FOR IT
LOTS OF OUTPUTS
GOOD DISPLAY
NOT TOUCH SENSITIVE
SOME OF THE SAMPLES ARE THE SAME AS THE 909
GOOD VALUE IF YOU CAN GET IT FOR AROUND $100
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MANUAL IT IS NOT HARD TO FIGURE OUT
OVERALL COOL "VINTAGE" DRUM MACHINE

well i just picked it up for $120 and i gotta say thats its pretty cool. though at first i couldnt really figure it out, but now i pretty much got it down. i like the fact that its got some of the 909 sounds in it, and it doesnt really bother me that the bass sounds are a little lush, its kinda a nice change.. anyway, i would say buy it if you can its worth it.. try and get a manual with it if possible, cause at first it wont make much sence of how to program it, you really got to sit downa nd tweek on it for an hour or two before you really get the hang of it.. thats the only thing i dont like...

I guess this was a pretty cool drum machine when it was released...
Now, its kinda limited and boring drumachine with one drumset
without internal twaking posibilities.
The ONLY real good thing with it is the individual outs.
Any sampler will give you fatter drums.
