I got my T3 second-hand recently (Nov 97). Ok I always wanted one

since I first saw it 7 (?) years ago. I don't have a manual (any offers?) but I'm finding it intuitive

to use. The sequencer editor leaves a little to be desired but

otherwise, it is VERY playable. I've copied a few sequences from Cubase (God Bless Steinberg+Atari!)

and used them successfully at a pub gig last week. The T3 I got has

the EX card (any info?) and Program B01 is pure pleasure I also have a Korg EX8000 and a M3R

Well, the good points are obvious: great horn sounds, nice effects generator, layering is a breeze. The onboard sequencer is pretty cool once you get to know it. The documentation sucks! You need an engineering degree to makes sense of what should be pretty simple. My T3 lost it's memory, and the disk that came with it was corrupted, so I called Korg for a new disk. They would NOT sell it to me, onlt to a Korg dealer. YOW!!! 70 bucks for a frekin' 3.5 floppy disk!!! Their service was HORRIBLE! In fact, the service rep asked me why I even bothered to buy it, since there were so many better synths on the market! Can you believe that!?? Anyway, good key response, nice pitch bender, tolerates extremes in temperature very well, rugged enough fo the road. Buy one.

T3 is a wonderful piano. I really haven't heard such a beautiful and strings sounds on any keyboard before. Combinations are also strong enough.

The Display Screen is not such smart. But overall it's good looking.

I love my T3.

for an instrument on its age i find it stunning!!!

i have never heard better piano sounds.

the T3 offers a lot of stunning acoustic sounds and there's

enough pads to cover things there.

but: it has only 8 track sequencer and the polyphony is insufficient

and not enough samples and program and combination banks,

the keypads are arranged like a starship controllers

and it's impossible to figure it out.

no smf and no general midi but great EX expansion

that gives you extra two megs of memory to dump with sysex

commands new samples. that's the part i like.

besides these complaiments i find this instrument

for its time perfect for everything and if i could

choose between my X3 to the T3 i would surely choose the T3. that's all i have too say

The T3 sounds very professional but the thing is that it´s too complicated. The seaquencer is not for a white guy to understand, (shit!!), but for a guy playing live in a band this synth is great!!
