Hey all. I played on a DTX 2 tonight and enjoyed it quite a bit. but im left with a question that i couldnt get answered while playing. Can the cymbals be choked? ok more than one question.. If not, is there anything i could buy that would give that option?

I've been using the DTX 2.0 kit for two years and I love it.I use it for recording drum&bass ideas and for practicing quietly. The pads feel fine to me and I play up to three hours somedays. The brain is fairly simple to program and has lots of great fuctions not found on the other guys gear.I would also recommend Tony Verderosa's videos to anyone interested in electric drumming/programing.Check him out.

Jett Rink a hobbyist user from U.S. writes:
I like the set itself (except for the bassdrum towers) and love playing them but i really think the interface could use some work. It can be quite difficult to get what you want done and the manual is not up to par in my opinion either. The sounds are great however and the pads are very responsive (triggering and stick response) for still being rubber, not mesh. I dont like the sequencer either because you can only record two 4/4 measures at a time, no more. If you can I haven't been able to. To me this is a huge deal because as a drummer i feel i should be able to record an entire scene of a song, if not the whole song in one recording pass. (I hate putting patterns together to make a song.)

Overall, I still love this set. For how long i've had it and the price i paid i should expect the thing to be obsolete by now. However, i'm glad to say i think its far from that.
