i own one for more then 10 years now. upgraded it with an original groove midi interface (includes dump and midi control of allmost all the panel parameters). well what is there to say : sounds very good:clean/ warm, reliable, every slider has exact the right range( including selfoscillating resonance/filters). 8 voices which is much better then the often found 6 voices on old polyfonic analogs. i guess it's a classic analog like minimoog , prophet5, (crumar ds2) and the nowadays andromeda a6. if you can get one and like analog: just buy it

I own a Jupiter 8 since February 2003. It is doubthless the best analog polyphonic synth ever build.
In the dual mode (4 VCOs per voice!), it can sound like an orchester. Though it is not a sampler and it doesn’t play real brass or string sounds! This is the same kind of sound you may know from the music from the film „Blade Runner” (played by Vangelis who used the CS80). I also heard of a guy who wanted to replace his Jupiter by an Andromeda - yet, after some comparing and testing, he decided not to get rid of the old machine...

The great analogue synth. Just about beyond compare...JX10, jp6 and a few others hang in there. Always sounds fabulous. Looks magnificent. Just thought you would like to know that there are a few clowns trying to compare it..and I can't believe this...with the Juno 106...ha,ha,ha!!! Just check out the 106 page.
