Amazing. Perfect blend of synth and effects. Don't get a Q or Nord in order to try and emulate the sounds that the Virus made popular. If you want Virus sounds, than you need a Virus! The keyboard feels very nice; great quality build. I give it a 4/5 because there is a little menu diving when programing.

Got to play with this thing for a few weeks. Sounds are cheapo and very plastic sounding. It sounds like it is playing samples! I would not buy this. I would go with Nord lead3 Or Waldorf Q for sure over this board. It just sounds weak, and Access even trys to cover this up with effects!!

OK, Just turn all effects off. and listen to the Oscillator. Its tone is weak like a little dying kitten in the snow. Go ahead and try to defend it. But be honest with yourself and then do the test with a Nord 2 or 3, or a waldorf Q. You will then be trying to sell your Virus off on EBay in no time at all LOL!!

I give this board a 3 for sound. But the overall score is a weak 2. For weak programming methods weaker user interface. Sound designers know how to test there boards out, and sound designers dont like to be lied to with sorry products like the Access line. My guess is Access will be following the likes of Alesis into the dark future of going bankrupt.

The virus kb is way overpriced and sounds flat and stale. You'd be better off with a Nord Lead 1 for $650 or a MS2000. On the other hand the Virus C sounds freaking INCREDIBLE ! save your money and buy the Virus C if you really want a virus, the reverbs and such sound much better, better user interface, more sound, more inspiration.

This instrument is fantastic...it would be my favorite if I didn't also own a Nord Lead 3. The keyboard feels fantastic...it sounds great...great effects...and is relatively easy to get around. Most of the sounds are rather techno, but a little programming gets you to more analog sounds (my favorites). I will never own another analog synth again...too many problems. Long live Access and Clavia !!

Thankyou Access for this synth. I love the warm pads to the unique leads. It has a nice feel and while programming I`m always awhere of the amount of fun I`m having. This synth will always be with me and my journey I`m about to embark upon. This beast will fit in very nicely with the rest of my heavy aresenal of weaponrie.
