The mpc 3000 is by far the most logical sampler I have ever used. To this day I have never read the manual and I bought my first one in 1998. I have had many machines in the past but this has remained my central machine. Its sampler and sequencer kick serious ass. If you upgrade to mansell labs Vaillixi 3.50 then you can accomplish amazing things ( new swing features etc). You just have to try it to enjoy. I have tried sequencing with Logic and Ableton but the MPC 3000 shits all over them for feel and simplicity... This is the central brain in my studio... my secret second girlfriend.... I have bought many more expensive pieces of gear and have always come back to this. I never travel anywhere without it. For me its like carrying around my version of an acoustic guitar. My MPC 60 came in close as well as my EMU SP12 but overall my MPC 3000 came in the clear winner.. Long live the MPC 3000....
