have played a farfisa on and off for 30 or so years, and picked up high milage version about 10 years ago. To begin with, it is a real electric piano with a great, quick, action- much faster than any Rhodes I have ever played. The sound is classic- not a real piano, but something unique. The vibrato, headphone jack, small size and decent weight make this a cool sounding, fun piano to own. I leave it in a corner of my office to play when I need a break. I probably would not want to lug it around for gigs (the legs are not too sturdy, but I have used it on occasion) and repairs and tuning are both nightmares. If you are a piano player, you can appreciate that a synthesizer just does not have that certain something. I must confess that I do really enjoy playing it, which is really the most important part of an instrument IMHO. For what it is, an old, classic keyboard, I think it is great.

This piano to me has the most magical sound ever. I favour this electric piano over the Fender Rhodes anyday as i think it has a more unique character. Getting one in good shape can be tough though and parts are hard to find especially the legs and pedal. These parts can be found of course but often with an inflated price tag. The springs have a tendancy to break but they can be found relatively cheap on the internet.

I make all kinds of music and i always grab the Wurlitzer at some time in the process even if i will not be using it in the track but i find it really easy to make melodies and harmonies with this piano as it seems that whatever you play ,it sounds good.

I.e a very inspirational instrument.

Its very simple obviously, only two outputs (headphone and line) a volume and tremolo knob.

P.s a wurlitzer through the distortion on my Boss SE-50 fx unit.....Yummy!

Merci christophe
