hi there,
i have the same problem. i would cost me about 400 euro (450 dollar)to repair now i use it as a midi keyboard for a secundhand korg X5DR that costed me about 115 dollar. it functions very well and without losing any features of the korg sounds. i bought it for 60 dollar, but with a damaged chip it seems happening very often found any replacement?

I think the unit is a good substitute for lugging around the real thing, like I did when I was younger & playing professionally. I do have a current problem & hope someone can steer me in the right direction. The XB2 i have is about six or seven yrs old. There is a fuzzy sound when playing with drawbar in use. It doesn't occur when the preset combinations are activated. The repair company said that it needs an integrated circuit - part # BA 9101 - Analog to digital converter, 22 pin chip. The hammond/suzuki factory won't sell just a replacement chip. They want to swap out the entire board. After all the smoke clears it will cost me about $ 450.00. Seem's like a long way to go for a small part and for a unit which is probably only worth $ 500-600, anyway. Can anyone help???? Thanks, in advance. Ralph
