I bought an MS-2000 with the expectation that this synth would deliver. I was excited at the presets and the ease of use. The sound is definitely not analog, so if your a purist, prepare for disappointment. If you are looking for a decent Virtual Analog, hmmm, it's ok..but to me, a synth that has an onboard sequencer that is unabe to sync to midi is crazy??!! People have said the timing issues were fixed with later revisions, but that has been contestable with regards to the sequencer. When I called Korg, they said to record and offset the timing for that track??! Are you kidding me, that is a lop answer to a pretty serious issue. I perform live primarily, and to be restricted to only studio use is a HUGE setback...I am looking at purchasing another MS-200, however because it was an interesting sounding synth..but only if I can pick one up for under $300...

3 words: O MY GOD. Another 3 words: WHAT A MACHINE. I am not even going to go into all the detail that the MS2000 actually does because I would be sat here for over 3 hours. But some of the things that inspire me about this VA is the Vocoder which sounds exactly like the VC-10 [it makes you think that you are actually using the VC-10 when you are using the vocoder]. The 2nd thing is the sequencer, within minutes of purchase I was already creating complex sequence tracks and playing other sounds on top of that! It's kind of like sequencing a bass track, then playing the main part on top of it, I use it for Trance/Techno mainly. The final thing is the sound. O boy, this machine can produce such sounds that it will hurt your ears...shake your house...and emm...annoy your neighbors. I am only 15, and I have mastered this beast to its extreme within a few days...thats creating wicked trance with extreme bass lines and sequences. My final 3 words: GET ONE NOW. Ben

I won't write much about it except that I bought it when it first came out and have been pleased with it ever since...possibilities are endless. The 4-voice limit can be annoying if you're into big chords, but in reality - less is more most of the time...with a little creativity, it actually added a lot to the style/sound of what I play on it...if you have to play all the notes, try separating them in a sort of rhythm...if all else fails, buy a second keyboard...do you really need more than 4 voices at a time on a syth anyway? This is an excellent keyboard...any syth lover should have one...oh...and while you do have to overwrite the factory presets to save custom sounds, you can restore all of the presets if you want them back...the vocoder can be fun...inputs for your guitar too...kind of a guitar synth type thing...it's sweet. Seriously, well worth the $1000 I paid for it...a few years ago they went or about $700 or so...I can't find any for sale now a days...I think because people can't part with it. Love it. Ok so I wrote more than I thought I would

This piece of junk is a nightmare.too much clicks and alliasing on the osc's, only 4 voice and cheesy distrotion. Go for a Nord 2x or the new Korg R3 in Sommer!

God bless you

This VA is not as thick or big as an ion or a nord. But in a certain way it has more character , and I'm not selling mine.
