I got this when I first started composing when I was 16 or 17. It's a fun little box if you know NOTHING about MIDI, but if you have even the slightest clue about MIDI controllers, effects and such, this box will probably just give you a headache. It seems to me now that it is little more than an external MIDI soundcard. It does come with some software (TRAX, I think), but I never used it, so I can't comment on its usefulness. I use it know just for backup sounds. I particularly like the strings, which have a cool, hollow, cheesey kind of sound. I've tried to find more info on the net, but haven't had much luck. If anyone knows anything, e-mail me.
