Damn Rachid... you're not really bright are you? You actually think the original 909 didn't require any EQing before sounding anywhere close to what you hear on techno vinyls? puhlease... if anything.. the novation sounds BETTER than the original 909.

well....its good, but my thirst for a real 909 has not really been quenched. It does a good job on some of the sounds, like hats and crash but fails on snares, kicks, claps...etc. The main problem is that it sounds too thin. Thats basically it. I have been able, though, to salvage alot of sounds with intensive EQ! All in all, it does what it does very well, which is providing me with a few extra drum outs and freeing up my sampler for other things. If you are looking for "authentic" sounding 909/808, then either buy the real thing or stick with samples. If you just want flexable "pretty-close" 808/909 sounds, then its a great buy.

I just love the sounds! It is the best tr-909 immitation i have ever heard. To bad it hasnt got a on/off switch
