I have 2 4700 systems and a 2700 system. They are lots of fun to mess around with. It's true that the oscillators are difficult to tune, especially if you are playing parts that scan across more than a couple of octaves. The systems are noisy due to unregulated power supplies and take time to patch up. No patches load at the youch of a button. But for putting up woth these inconveniences you get the ability to make crazy sounds. The ringmodulators and filters sound very good. Also, mine has a polyphonic keyboard. That's pretty impressive for any modular! If you have one be sure to check out Anders Sponton's site for the manuals to repair/calibrate as needed.
