Hey Guys! I'll be the first to admit that perhaps a GrooveBox doesn't represent the pinnacle of "Pro Audio Gear",it does fill an obvious niche for a large majority of people who simply want to get their feet wet in the world of music composition. Once again, these machines don't sound the greatest but I think that the point to keep in mind is that creative people will will produce creative music regardless of their "Gear Limitations". I myself started off with an MC-303 and although I sold it a couple of years ago, I feel that those initial experiments in sequencing were invaluable and led to my eventual love affair (OBSESSION) with music and audio production.

Crrraaaaappppppp!!

The 307 is for little kiddies.... God when I think of all the good instruments you could buy for that amount of money...

You could buy a f---ing Kawai k5000s for $500... or if you got a good deal, an Fs1R *AND* an ER-1 for about $750 instead of wasting it on a preset groove-crap!!!!!

Serious musicians spend their cash wisely.

High school kids' parents buy them a 307.

PS: "...and it has pitch control just like my turntables!". Yeah. Rock on, bedroom warriors.

So, are you saying that anybody who plays a piano is unoriginal? Or a rhodes? Just because there are preset sounds doesnt mean that you cant use them in an un-preset way. I do agree with you if you are saying that people who just take the patterns and mess with them and call them their own are really uncreative and should try harder but thats not the only thing these boxes do.

Its really stupid to stereotype anybody, even groovebox users, because i know of many who are doing original and creative things with them even if you dont like the instrument. Also, rather than just call people stupid and rant for no reason, try and come up with a real argument about why people shouldnt buy this product and maybe you will get a little more respect, its easy to say anything is bad, but a lot of the time its more difficult to come up with legitimate statements about why whatever your saying is crap really is.
