Olympia Noise Co. has announced a major update to Ondes, which they describe as an expressive electronic instrument for iPad. Here's the details in their own words...

Ondes emulates the fluid playing style of early electronic instruments like the Theremin and Ondes Martenot with an interface and synthesis engine firmly grounded in the present day.   Ondes has been included on the App Store's "Best New Apps" list and featured in the the App Store's Music section.

New features in version 1.1 include MIDI output, swarm oscillators,  hold, new modulation parameters, and new keyboard settings including support for alternate tuning systems and custom scales.  A complete list of new features is posted on our blog.

To celebrate the release, we're also giving away a Max for Live instrument template for using with Ondes as a MIDI controller.
