Sonic Shack Store CD winner revealed!

US And the other winner is...      31/07/00

Scott Hopkins, a 'Floridian music nut', is the lucky winner of $500 worth of sample CDs from the Sonic State Shack. 'I don't own a sampler, and being a primarily guitar guy I am still new to making synth/sampled music. I decided on a some of the REX titles, such as Skip to My Loops, 160dB, Dance Diffusion, and Underfire v1, and Vince Clarke's Lucky B*stard as the REX format is very spiffy and allows for some easy loop control in Cubase,' says Scott, who also confessed to 'never entering a competition before'. ' My plans are to add some cool sampled sounds to acoustical, guitar driven music, as well as creating more electronic/industrial/experimental music, in which any and all sounds can be used and manipulated to make music unlike anything ever heard.' He continues - completely voluntarily, we might add, 'I've been checking Sonic State for the latest and greatest in synth news since sometime in early 1998 (or perhaps 97, but I don't remember). The reviews and information is very thorough and easy to navigate, and the many sections that have been added: gas stations, classified ads, digital recording, improved looks, cool contests, etc, continue to build on this awesome site. Thanks guys!' Hey, Scott, we love you too!
