Look, loads of 'em linked together      19/01/01
Akai were showing off the new OS 2.1 which enables PC (or mac) control of multiple devices through their own proprietory ak.sys networking software comprising the Program Editor, Multi Editor and Virtual S6000 Remote Control Panel which 'brings convienient access to all sampler functions.' How, er... convenient. Further enhancements include:
  • Disc browsing
  • USB networking (requires the new IB-S56USB board)
up to 32 samplers can be controlled from one computer with drag and drop operations as standard - now that could be handy.
  • Reading of Roland and EMU E4 CD-ROMS The new OS is now available for download at :www.akaipro.com
