MESSE: Behringer V-Amp it Up

New Amp Modeller/ Gtr FX      10/03/01

We couldn't hear this one as it's still hot from the prototype mould arriving just in time for the show but it looks kind of funky and appears to be aimed squarely and unashamedly at the Line 6 Pod. Behringer seem to excel at things that look a bit (or a lot like) other name-brand gear but make it for a lot less. The V-amp doesn't disappoint on paper and has the added bonus of v-pots (with led indicators) :
Features:
  • virtual amplification modeling
  • 15 cabinet simulations can be assigned to any amp
  • Selection of stereo FX including:chorus, flanger, tremelo, compression, wah-wah, noise gate, rotary speaker, delay and reverb
  • 125 memories with presets programmed by renowned professionals
  • Computer based editing through Emagics' SoundDiver software
  • All parameters available via midi
  • Dual foostwitch Pricing and availabilty to be anounced
