Steinberg have boxed up five virtual instruments and a Cubase SE, a streamlined version of the latest Cubase SL and SX digital audio sequencers. The package contains over 700 MB of sounds, is upward file compatible with Cubase SL, SX and Nuendo, works on Mac OSX and Windows 2000 or XP, and is capable of 24/96 kHz audio quality.
The Studio Case aims to offer the entry computer musician all the software needed to begin making music. It also serves an existing Cubase user well as a Virtual Instrument system with VST System Link support.
"You need good instruments as well as a good sequencer to make music. Customers have been asking for complete entry-level software solution that at the same time satisfies professional standards," explains Steinberg's MI Product Manager Arnd Kaiser. We've paid particular attention to the sound quality, because we believe that newcomers shouldn't have to make any compromises in this area. The Studio Case really is an all-round winner."
