The Terratec PHASE 22 is the new addition to their range of PHASE family products. Featuring the acclaimed top-drawer technology of the TerraTec Producer line, the PHASE 22 offers studio quality at a starter price for professional computer-based recording and mastering. The PCI audio interface s two analog input and output channels track at resolutions ranging up to 24 bits/96 kHz, connecting to the world outside via balanced 6.3 mm (1/4") jacks. With an S/PDIF port providing interference-free links to digital gear, the device plays digital audio back at resolutions as high as 192 solution kHz. Priced at 159.00 euros manufacturer s suggested retail, the PHASE 22 will ship to music stores now at an MSRP of 159.-- Euro. A MAC version is slated for release in December of this year. Premium converter components deliver audio quality to satisfy even the most demanding studio requirements. The optimized driver package ensures extremely low latency for PCs. A MAC version will follow shortly. Standard features include Windows ASIO 2.0 support, affording latency-free access to several inputs and outputs, as well as flawless compatibility with the GigaStudio format GSIF. The device was developed with external sound generators in mind: A MIDI I/O boasting 16 channels is also on board. Best of all, when the studio grows - and the demand for more inputs and outputs grow with it - up to four PHASE 22s can be cascaded and synced up in a computer via a single driver.
