WNAMM04: CakeWalk Preview Project 5 1.5
Look out for P5 1.5

Cakewalk are an interesting company, if you are a Mac user, you may not be as aware of them as our PC brethren. Their flagship SONAR audio/MIDI software is one of the most popular sequencer packages for the PC in many countries. They have been innovating in software for many years now. You may well have already felt the benefits of that, even if you are a Mac, or other flavour of sequencer user. Some of their innovations have been er, adopted by other manufacturers - surely an endorsement - if not strictly of benefit to Cakewalk themselves. Their latest product, Project 5, is aimed at the dance music market and offers virtual synths, drum machines, effects, plug-ins and pattern sequencer. We spoke to Jesse Jost, the product manager for Project 5 about the new features coming in the new update later this year.
