MESSE: Tom Petty and Martin

Signature 6 &12-strings launch into the Great Wide Open      05/04/04
MESSE: Tom Petty and Martin
a nice pair of Pettys

When Tom Petty agreed to let C. F. Martin build signature instruments bearing his name, he knew exactly what he wanted - a matched pair of six and twelve-strings built to his own specifications. The resulting models are now available as the HD-40 and HD12-40 Tom Petty Signature Editions. With a dreadnought body shape, each features an ivory-bound ebony fingerboard with pearl inlays of the phases of the moon, stars, and Tom's signature. Built from solid tonewoods, the guitars are equipped with gold Schaller mini tuners with ebony buttons and factory-installed Fishman Gold+ Plus Natural II electronics to enable owners to play both unplugged and amplified. Each guitar comes in a tweed finished vintage-style hardshell case, with a numbered interior label personally signed by Tom Petty and C.F. Martin IV. More information at:-
