Legendary metal band Metallica are launching their official documentary DVD with a one-of-a-kind Epiphone guitar promotion. Gibson Europe, the centralized distribution unit of Gibson Guitar have joined forces with the iconic group in the 'Some Kind of Monster' DVD release. The 2 disc set, to be launched on January 31 2005, includes more than seven hours of special features, 40 unreleased scenes, interviews of Metallica, footage with hip hop artist Ja Rule, and highlights from festivals. To coincide with the DVD release Epiphone Guitar have produced an exclusive guitar - a '1958' Goth Explorer with custom Metallica artwork. Only 10 of these will be made. The guitar features a Natural Satin finish, black hardware, Alnico Humbuckers, set Mahogany neck & Rosewood fingerboard. We'll leave the last word to Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar."Metallica's music and performances go hand-in-hand with Epiphone.
