Crate has introduced a new 100-watt per channel stereo, 3-channel head into their popular VTX Series of guitar amplifiers.
Based on the VTX200S combo amplifier, the new Crate VTX200SH includes independent level and tone shaping circuits on each of three independent channels. Also onboard is a completely adjustable digital effects processor providing 15 multi-effects including Chorus, Flange, Phase Shift, Vibrato, Octave Down, Touch-Wah and Reverse Wah.
Additional front panel effects controls allow the user to access 15 stereo delay programs and reverb independent of one another. All this functionality is packed into a robust, "classic" style enclosure inspired by Crate's own flagship V Series amplifiers.
Price and Availability
The VTX200SH has a manufacturers suggested retail price of $699.99 and will be available in April 2006.
Cabinet
Also new is a compact slant-front amplifier cabinet, the GT212S.

The GT212S is a 2x12 semi open back cabinet featuring two high-quality 12-inch Celestion speakers, 160 watts RMS power handling capability, three-channel, mono/stereo operation, rear panel Insert Jack for effects connectivity, and 3/4-inch plywood construction for superior resonance. A footswitch jack is also provided for channel switching and reverb.
As the smallest cabinet in the GT Series, Crate say that the GT212S is the ideal match for any GT, GTX or VTX Series head—making a portable, high-performance package for a wide range of performance applications including rehearsals and small gigs.
