Godin have a new electric guitar in their Performance Series. The Triumph has an S style configuration with three pickups but we’ll leave it to the Godin Press officer a description. Here we go…
“With its retro/glam, space age look and dazzling sparkle finish that would put Elton John’s circa 1970’s wardrobe to shame, the Triumph sparkles far beyond its finish. Equipped with 3 Godin low-noise, single coil pickups and 5 way switch, this guitar delivers a smorgasbord of sounds for a variety of discriminating tastes. From a beautiful warm neck position, to a middle position with more attack and output than you would expect, to the bite of the bridge with some sweet “in between tones. The Triumph has just the right amount of twang and spank to delight country pickers, with grit and sustain for those with a blues/rock frame of mind, and everything together with a side of distortion will have alt/indie/emo rockers crying in their foam mesh hats.
Featuring a short scale, rock maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with Ergocut for that worn-in feel, this guitar provides an extremely comfortable playing experience. For the brilliant sparkle models, the pickups and fixed bridge (with string-through-body design for great sustain) are mounted on a center block of silver leaf maple with poplar wings for the body. However, players also have the choice of a natural finish with solid mahogany body.
