Carvin has announced the release of a new compact and portable 1 x12 bass combo plus a bass amp head that they say wil be the the perfect match for a wide range of loudspeaker enclosures.
BRX112NEO

Designed with a compact, lightweight form factor, Carvin believe that the BRX112NEO
is the perfect choice for gigging musicians in need of a system that minimizes the hassles of setup and break-down for those one-night performances.
Featuring a single 12-inch low frequency transducer driven by 800 watts of power, the new BRX112NEO has the muscle to handle a wide variety of applications according to Carvin. Featuring an Active or Passive input gain switch, the amplifier employs a mono block bass head and is designed for cool running, reliable operation. Controls include Sub Bass, Bass, Low Mid, Mid, Hi Mid, Treble, Preamp Drive, and Master volume. All controls are conveniently located across the top front of the unit for easy access during performance.
Carvin tell us that the BRX112NEO is painstakingly crafted from the finest materials. The enclosure employs Baltic Birch wood for both cabinet rigidity and durability. The cabinet includes recessed handles that make the amp easy to pick up, yet without occupying any additional space when packing the truck for the next location. To maintain its appearance and protect the unit from the rigors of the road, the entire system employs a rugged Duratex scratch resistant, weatherproof, polyurethane coating. Further, the cabinet utilizes a powder-coated, steel grille to protect the loudspeaker.
Carson Kiesel, President of Carvin Corporation commented on the company’s new offering, “For the bass player who is constantly moving between rehearsals and one-night gigs, our new BRX112NEO has the right combination of power and performance packed into a compact enclosure that makes the process of moving much easier. We’re genuinely excited about this important new offering for bassists on the go.
B800

Carvin has also announced the release of its new B800 Mono Block Bass Head. Designed with substantial power capable of driving a wide range of loudspeaker enclosures, Carvin say that this compact amplifier has the features bass players demand—at a price they’ve been clamoring for.
According to Carvin, the new B800 has a competitive feature set that enables bass players to have the power they need for a wide range of performance types. The B800 employs a mono block design and offers the same rich tone generated from discrete Class A preamps. The power amp features an Active or Passive front panel input gain switch, along with Preamp Drive and Master volume controls. Additional front panel controls include Sub Bass, Bass, Low Mid, Mid, Hi Mid, and Treble.
The B800 incorporates a rear panel Direct Out on an XLR (balanced) connector with level control—enabling the unit to patch directly into PA systems or recording equipment. Bassists will also appreciate the effects loop built into the B800 with its front panel switch. And for making certain that they’re in tune with the rest of the band, the B800 includes a Tuner output jack that is independent of the Mute switch.
To protect the system’s electronics, the B800 is encased in a rugged housing that is covered with a Duratex scratch resistant, weatherproof, polyurethane coating. Carry handles are mounted on the amp head’s sides.
Carson Kiesel said this of the B800, “The new B800 is a remarkably capable bass amp housed in a compact case that is ready to go at any time. We’re excited about this unit, as it provides bass players the flexibility to mate the unit with a variety of loudspeaker enclosures.
