Notion music composition and performance software from VirtuosoWorks Inc comes with a mission to “support composers, educators and students in the advancement of music in all forms. This goal is certainly more achievable since they announced a whole bunch of new Sound Kits and the intention of releasing more expansion kits at the rate of one per month for the next two years – nice work. As well as the normal orchestral sounds, there are plans for R&B and rock plus other genres. There are several new features available also, including a new lyrics feature, wich allows the user to enter lyrics directly into the score. MIDI file import has also been included to import files from other sources. The sound kits are also affordable ranging from $29-69 US. They say that this means you can buy the sounds you want to fit your needs. And when you’re done composing, you can enter their London Symphonic Orchestra comepetition. By submitting a piece, the winner gets to record with the LSO at the famous Abbey Road Studios
