AraldFX have launched the StormGate3 and StormGate1 plug-ins which they tell us are new and unique gating effects which let you create new and unheard rhythmic parts from virtually any kind of audio material.
StormGate3 splits the audio in three bands, and lets you shape each audio band with amplitude patterns. Patterns can be drawn freely by hand, or with the aid of powerful drawing tools. AraldFX say that you can transform within seconds a static pad into an almost complete rhythmic part, create new rhythms from vocals, instruments, noises of any kind, or even create amazing drums parts out of pure noise.
If yo don't want to draw the envelopes AraldFX say that you can just record them. They say that StormGate3 can take any audio source, and after calibrating the cross-over frequencies, you will be able to record a new envelope pattern.
StormGate1 is a free download available for PC/VST and MAC OSX 10.4 AU and VST. It has only one band, but most of the functionality of StormGate3.
Pricing and Availability:
StormGate3 will be available by the end of this month for PC/VST, MAC/VST (and MAC/AU at a later date) and it will cost $59.00. SG3 is also available for pre-order for a special price of $39.00. By pre-ordering you will get a copy of SG3 (beta), have access to all the future beta releases, and free lifetime updates up to version 2.0.
