Yellow Tools releases Freedom Surround Edition      31/05/07

360 Degress Of Freedom

Yellow Tools has released Freedom Surround Edition which they say enters a totally new dimension for the entire mastering and post-production of your songs, scores, synchronizations and sound recordings in a surround environment.
Unique in the Freedom Surround Edition is the flexibility of switching between different surround formats: You can change the input and output format of the Freedom Surround Edition completely independent from the original input format of your audio file.
Yellow Tools say that the Freedom Surround Edition impresses with a clear and intuitively operatable user interface. All insert filters and effects of the Freedom Surround Edition are fully surround compatible. Beside all the insert filters and effects users may already know from Freedom Producer Edition, the Surround Edition comes with 4 additional inserts which yellow tools tell us are specially designed for the most sophisticated editing and customization of surrround productions:
  • LFE Filter
  • Satellites HP Filter
  • Channel Manager
  • Surround Panner
The format of your surround files (hostchannel) gets recognized automatically and the Freedom Surround Edition assigns the respective channels accordingly. Using the unique 'Channel Manager' you can edit and change the entire channel assignment individually at any time. With the Freedom Surround Edition it is possible to extract single channels of a surround file (any combination is possible), to edit them afterwards and finally to create a totally new surround format of these channels using the Surround Panner.
