WNAMM08: 125 Years Of Gretsch
G6120 - grab one quick, there's only 25 of them

Gretsch, the iconic musical instrument company that has been at the forefront of popular music since 1883 has used the platform of the NAMM show to announce the 125th anniversary of “That Great Gretsch Sound!
In celebration of the that milestone, Gretsch is releasing several new guitar and amplifier models, including the Custom Shop Chet Atkins G6120 125th Anniversary Limited Edition guitar in Transparent Orange finish over real gold leaf. This master-built model features gold-plated hardware and TV Jones Classic pickups. The guitar, which is limited to 25 pieces worldwide, includes an anniversary strap and belt buckle hand-tooled by legendary leather craftsman, Tom Nix.

Additionally, Gretsch is releasing the G6118T-LTV 125th Anniversary model, which features the ultra-rare Jaguar Tan top and Metallic Gold back and sides. The G6118T-LTV is the first model to include the new “ML bracing, which synchronizes the vibration of the top and back for increased acoustical openness in tone.

Other new models include the G6136DL David Lee Limited Edition artist model (Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers), which is based on the unmistakable White Falcon™ guitar and is limited to 30 pieces worldwide, the G5235 G. Love Corvette artist model (G. Love & Special Sauce), and the latest addition to the Gretsch amplifier line – the Gretsch Electromatic G5222 amp, which features five watts, two tubes and two inputs wrapped in a cabinet that is undeniably “Gretsch.

Gretsch was founded by Friedrich Gretsch in 1883 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and is currently being helmed by Fred W. Gretsch. Over the past 125 years, Gretsch has created legendary and unmistakable guitars for some of the world’s most well-known and groundbreaking artists, including: Chet Atkins, Eddie Cochran, Bo Diddley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, ZZ Top, AC/DC, the Stray Cats, U2, the Cult, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, the Reverend Horton Heat, Brian Setzer, the White Stripes, Bloc Party, and Fall Out Boy.
