Vox organ, Kaossilator for US and a VOX scooter      29/01/08

Not a product heavy show for Korg this time, we hear that perhaps MESSE or Summer NAMM might yield some more goodies, but there was the special edition microKorg, with the cool reverse keys, and of course, the official US launch of the marvelous Kaossilator, plus a cool looking mockup of a VOX Continental Organ. The finest thing must’ve been the custom VOX scooter, complete with AC-30 like side panels and VOX guitar effect pedal footplates. Only two of those in the world apparently - I wonder if that bloke Paul Teutul Sr, from American Chopper had anything to do with it? Perhaps it’s a little too girlie for him – although I quite like it....

For those wanting to check out some of the sonic possibilities of the Kaossilator, I compiled an album's worth of tunes recorded directly off the device's output, no external editing or tweaking involved. Please check it out: http://www.reverbnation.com/theyellowalbum Cheers, -G
