Update: - Its all off folks, the merger has now been cancelled due to operational incompatibilities at "the highest level". Oops.
Shock news it was when we heard that Gibson and TC Electronic had merged at NAMM ealrier this year. Rumours and conjecture abounded – and not without reason. After all, Gibson acquisitions had seen the ahem, "resting" of some well-loved brands in the past - Opcode and Oberheim spring to mind. So we thought it would be a good idea to talk to someone at the TC stand to see what was what. So in stepped Mr John Maier, CEO of TC US to bring some clarity to the situation.
