We know about the audiophiles and their high copper content wires, or ridiculously priced mains cables which allegedly improve the sound enormously. Well let me introduce Clarity Caps who make capacitors out of metalized polypropylene plasctics.
Their precision range of capacitors are specially graded to make them ideally suited for audio work. In double blind listening tests and measurement studies, the use of these capacitors in audio circuitry resulted in noticeable leaps in quality. They have been used in speaker crossover circuitry with great results, with capacitors being custom designed to fit specific speaker manufacturers need.
Resident boffin Paul Dodds, talked to Andy Mac ( he understands these things).
Okay, so here comes the science bit...
musicshmusic Said... The capacitor required 1.21 gigawatts of electricity to operate. It is not described exactly how the capacitor worked beyond that of a typical deus ex machina device, the stainless steel body has a direct and influential effect on the "flux dispersal". It consists of a box with three small, flashing incandescent lamps arranged as a "Y", located above and behind the passenger's seat. As the car nears 88 miles per hour, the light of the capacitor pulses faster until it has a steady stream of light. The stainless steel body of the De Lorean also has a beneficial effect on the "flux dispersal" as the capacitor activates. Doc originally conceived the idea for the flux capacitor on November 5, 1955 when he slipped and hit his head on the sink while standing on the toilet to hang a clock. 27-May-08 06:53 PM E Said... Well..I have this capcitor Mundorf M-Cap Supreme Silver/Gold/Oil 1200VDC ...so far....is amazing.
I wonder which one is better ????

Hey guys, leave him alone! :)
He looks like any ordinary engineer who gets a camera stuck in his face... nervous!
FWIW if you google this stuff there's a lot of backup to it - there are several academic papers supporting it too. Just a thought... 13-May-09 05:58 AM Post a comment
