Also included in the new desk is an 18 in and out FireWire audio interface (24bit 96kHz) which operates very much like an old-school inline console – eg: you can switch any channel to be analog input, with the output to the corresponding FireWire audio channel input or be a discreet FireWire audio channel return. You can take the signal pre-EQ or pre-fader, giving you plenty of options for monitoring and recording paths, ditto with the return - if you want to use the EQ, or just the fader, no problem. The desk can also work as a standalone 16 channel ADAT IO interface via the rear switches.
Also on board is the MIDI control mode - each fader can be switched to send MIDI volume data, there’s also a dedicated MMC MIDI transport control, eight assignable knobs and eight buttons. It's a pretty impressive feature set.
Set to be available in July at a price in the region of £1500 UK it's good value too.

More From: ALLEN & HEATHAwesome! All the things that I want in mixer/interface/controller.. But are those 60mm faders? Hope they feel/are accurate enough to do tiny adjustments.
