Loopmasters have released 5 new sample collections this month. Here’s all the details in their own words…

  • 1. DANNY BYRD: DRUM AND BASS VOL 2 (Loopmasters/Hospital Records)
    Drum And Bass guru Danny Byrd has produced this absolute belter of a Sample Pack ideal for Drum And Bass, Breakbeat and Urban producers, or anyone looking for cutting edge sounds and samples. It’s a new generation sample pack for next generation samplists!

    Content: Over 440 heavyweight royalty free samples, including 35 full drum loops and 139 drum separate loops, 22 searing lead riffs, 5 inspirational music loops, 12 vocal loops and 17 shaker and tambourine patterns.

    Tech Specs: Patches for Kontakt, Reason, Halion, EXS, SFZ compatible soft samplers. Reason Refill, Rex2 and Apple Loops versions are also available.

  • 2. FISTFUL OF DRUMMERS VOL 2 (Drumdrops)
    If you need real, Funky drums then this sample collection is for you. It has a stylistic bias to the past with covers of classic beats cut between 1960 and 1979 including Rare Groove, Funk, Vintage Soul, Bombastic 70s Rock and early Hip-Hop. The collection features Nasser Bouzida from the cult Blow Up recording stable and Jim ‘the Lick’ Kelly, with guest appearances from Style Scott and Jan Kincaid from the Brand New Heavies.

    Content: 400 plus loops organized into dry and effected mixes, with 2 and 4-bar long loops and 40 tempos to choose from.

    Tech Specs: 380MB collection featuring 246 Acidised WAVs and 246 REX2 files. Reason and Apple Loops versions are also available.

  • 5. DROPS IN THE BRONX (Drumdrops)
    Jan Kincaid from the Brand New Heavies has delivered an electrifying selection from his impressive repertoire of original and ground-breaking beats. For maximum authenticity the samples were recorded and mixed on 1970s Neve and Api consoles, with analogue tape, vintage microphones and outboard gear along with vintage drum kits. It’s the first of our Street series catering for the Hip-Hop and Nu Soul fraternity…

    Content: 4GB! Over 400 loops (average 2-8 bars in length) organized by bpm (70-130) in convenient folders containing separate Kick, Snare, Hat, Stereo Overhead, Toms, and Mono Room tracks. Contains Rich Rim Shot Breaks, Compressed Soul Beats, Blunted Jazz Grooves and Dope Funk Breaks, complemented with 300 percussion loops including congas, talking drum, gogo bells, cowbells, shakers, claps, tambourine, ride and hi-hat loops.
